Comments: Tim, Happy birthday and congratulations on your 60th!!! This is quite an achievement considering how much you have abused yourself over the years. We have noticed, however, that you are hitting the ball further than ever despite your advancing years --- so, we conclude that you must be on something. Whatever it is, we need it!!! Again, congratulations. We hope you have a happy 60th and many many more. Look forward to seeing you again soon teeing it up. Ned & Cindy

Comments: Tim Driscoll, Happy Birthday old mate. Enjoy a few gimlets today but do not repeat your order for a large one that put you into outer space in Osaka and despite the encouragement of those Sumitomo people could not get you placing one foot in front of the other.Hope to catch up soon.

Comments: There was a young man named Tim, He had a lot of vigor and vim. He's celebrating his big birth-day In that old man there's still a lot of play, And I love throwing cake at his sweater. Tim loves taking his family to Nantucket, But when the bill comes, he says...screw it, His growing family is so handsome, We know where those good genes come from, Tim is so happy he married Kathy! We wish you the best on your day, We want many times ahead to play, On the beach or the slopes, you name it, Tim, We'll jump when you call us, we're at your whim, And we'll always be younger than you! Happy Sixtieth, you big kid!!! Much love from us!

Comments: TFD - Now that you're officially old (and slow), a little advice: When you're out on the course, keep an eye out for the group behind you. Us young guys will be wanting to play through. Now I know why I've never seen you drink a beer....loks like you had your fill back in college. Happy B-day - JZ

Comments: Dear Short Pants: Happy Birthday, you old Tusker! Welcome to the "sexy sixties!" When I turned the big "60" in September, the "Mantis Man" pulled out his old "Ah Um" tear aways! Hope we all get together again soon before we are grumpy old octogenarians. Trish says we are all aging like fine wine, but I told her that in your case and mine, it's a bottle of "RIPPLE!" Remember the Lawrence Harbor days!! Again, Happy Birthday! I'll toast one or two or three for you!! Hope the Yankees really make it your day! Our best to all the Drickles! Mantis Man & Playmate

Comments: Hi Tim, You are as handsome today as the first day we all met you in college. You are truly one of my favorite little leprechauns, now that I hang around all you Irish folks. (We had 20 guys from Tralee here last week! My liver will never be the same!) We have had so many wonderful times together. My only regret is that we don't spend more time with you and Kathy and your wonderful family. I love you and hope you have another wonderful 60 years ahead. Have a great day. Your favorite little Italian, Fran Birmingham

Comments: Dear Tim, To paraphrase Casey Stengel, “There comes a time in every man’s life, and you’ve had many of them.” Today you are at 21,915 days and counting (60x365 plus the 15 leap year days). Having just slipped by the 22,000 day mark I have great empathy for your plight on your special day. I find it is helpful to place events in the perspective of 21,915 days. For example, two days of the “roto rooter vein cleaning” procedure amount to less than 1/10,000 of your days. On the other hand you and Kathy have been married for over 12,000 days or well more than half your days. You and Emma have known each other for more than 1,800 days, 100% of her life experience! Our golf trip to the British Isles amounted to 50/21,915 or just .002% of your days. The amount of time you have been disappointed watching the golf ball disappear – wide right – is actually small in the total scheme of timings. (We have a gift for you when you come to Nantucket to deal with this wide right issue). Judy and I have had the pleasure of your acquaintance for more than 7,000 days. We’ve had some wonderful times during these “days”. Our observation is that your life has been productive, rich, successful and fun filled. This is no small part due to your great family, friends near and far and from all walks of your life. Our birthday wish, Tim, is that your life continues to be productive, rich, successful and fun filled. Happy 60th! Greg and Judy

Comments: Congratulations, you old fart. You formally called your 40th the "back nine of life". I guess this means you are now on the 17th hole. Where's Tim --- oh --- oh, under the 3rd pine tree on the right. I know, you fixed the slice, really!!! You are the best Tim and the whole Murphy clan wishes you a happy birthday. Your friendship and the friendship of the Driscoll family is something we will always treasure. We have shared many a laugh and many good times over the years and hopefully we will continue to do so. Have a wee pint on us and enjoy you B'day. A fine grand and glorius day.

Comments: TIMBO! 1943 FLASH!! Wyoming wins NCAA! Yanks win World Series! Bears - NFL Champs! DRISCOLL born with "LaSalle in his eyes"!! But, alas, academics cut short his dream and he's forced to go to Villanova!! Driscoll claims at age 60, sipping an old man's drink, a "screwdriver", that it was all Siister Anina's fault! (because he can't remember anyone else's name) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIMBO! Jim

Comments: Happy birthday Mit! It seems like yesterday that snow interrupted the “romantic weekend” Meg & I were trying to have when your flight to Africa was cancelled due to snow and you had to come home unexpectedly. Thanks for making me feel welcome! Thanks for all the great memories; Nantucket, Avalon, Loxahatchee, golf, horseshoes, weddings, port wine, dumb dogs,“dah nah nah nahhh”, etc… I look forward to many many more! Happy 60th! - Joe

Comments: Tim, Happy Bithday. 60 is quite the milestone! What's happened? Everyone has said such nice things about you. Considering I spent the first 10 years of my life afraid to shake your hand for fear of the knuckle roll, I can't believe you only did that to me! Maybe you have gotten softer in your old age! You'll be happy to know that I pass on the knuckle roll handshake to my students with a brief history about my Uncle Tim and how he taught me to shake hands with a firm grip. For all the toughness, you truly are a gentle and generous soul and I am grateful for all that you have shared with me. Love, Jody P.S. Remind my mother to wish your brother a Happy Birthday (you and I are the only ones that remembered the anniversary!) P.P.S. Duffy, if you need a baby picture, take one of my dad...who can tell!

Comments: Mr. D, I wanted to take a brief moment to say happy birthday and continued health and happiness to you. I consider myself very fortunate to have spent a fair amount of time with you over the past several years. You are truly an inspiration as a father, as a friend, and as a gentleman. I suspect that there are loads of people in this world who are richer for having known you. Enjoy.... MR

Comments: Happy Birthday again! My other note got interupted... You have put up with a lot from me in the past 30 years! I know I was the the biggest trouble maker of them all! I hope I have redeemed myself in the past 10 years since I stopped having keg parties at the house. Since the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree, I guess I inherited your party spirit! Let's hope Emma, Kieran and Patrick don't have that spirit until they move away! Thanks for being such a wonderful grandfather to the kids! They really love their "Papa", Kiki's neighbor!! Love, Duffy

Comments: Happy 60th Dad! Since you vowed to hide on your 60th birthday and didn't want a party we figured out a way to announce the big day to everyone! I am on a mission to find at least one ledgable baby picture of you for your 70th! I guess that's what happens when you're the baby of the family. Dinner at my house tonight for the third and last 60th birthday celebration! No cake since there have already been 2!! Apple pie?? Love, Duffy

Comments: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD I hope you have a wonderful birthday and enjoy reading all these messages from everyone. You have so much to be proud of and should enjoy this milestone as a time to look back on all you have accomplished. Think of 60 as a chance to start what will be hopefully your best decade yet! I love you very much and can't thank you enough for all your love, patience and support you have given me. Thank you Dad!! Love Meghan

Comments: Dad, Congratulations on your milestone. Raising 3 nearly perfect children wasn't easy...wild fires, broken windshields, crashed cars, well at least Duffy and Meghan were good. You have and will always be my inspirational role model. I admire your generosity with your family and friends, your work ethic (even while "retired"),your jovial personality (once we got to college)and your positive outlook on life. I have 3 wishes for you as you enter your 60's...you and mom stay healthy, we get to live closer to each other so I continue to learn from you and your grandchildren get closer to Pop pop, and that Villanova goes to the Final Four again and you actually get to see the game! Have a great birthday and hit'em straight...or at least use your "power fade" to your advantage. Love Tim

Comments: Happy Birthday Big Tim!! Best wishes to you on this momumental occasion. Having had so many great and memorable times with you since the mid-70's it's impossible to list them all. But know that you've touched my life in so many ways. How could I forget all the inspiration you provided me and the as my confirmation sponsor. You always did lead by example in so many ways...Like those nights hanging out drinking beer at the Sea Grapes during that famous Beach House Summer of 1980...Deflecting phone calls from my girlfriend Ellen's father looking for her at 4 AM(after drinking at the Sea Grapes). And the priviledge of mowing your grass(actually more of a rock field/cliff) for $6.00! In all seriousness, you're a great friend and truly one of life's Good Guys. Hope to celebrate this big event with you soon. All the best, Tom, Kim, Thomas and Georgia

Comments: Big D, I thought you were already well into your 60s(just kidding). Any remembrance of our times together would be incomplete without touching upon "the beach house". I am glad that I was able to give your children a live "facts of life" demonstration due to the hole in the floor/ceiling. Please don't think you need to return the favor for my children. On a more serious note, you are a good friend and I have appreciated your guidance and support over the years. Enjoy your day. See you on November 29th. Tim Mendola

Comments: Well the big day is finally here. I searched my many catalogues to find a source to send you a years supply of Metamucil(high fibre)but was unsuccessful. I'm glancing at the picture taken in Ireland in 1986 when you were 43 years of age.Comparing that to our last meeting this September, we both can now have secondary careers as stand ins for the Pillsbury Doughboy. Here's to wishing you many more years of golf in Fairfield, Spring Lake and Ireland along with our quarterly attempt to drink down the Port inventory at the Jersey Shore. Also wishing you the Old Irish proverb- May the wind at your back never be your own. Joe

Comments: Timothy Francis, Welcome to exclusive membership in the over 60 club. Your generosity, energy, talents, loyalty, and sense of humor are all indications of the quality of the man (and grandfather). Your business, personal, and community accomplishments are legion. In fact, Mother Driscoll, your only failure has been your inability to get your college roommates to do the chores you paistakingly wrote out on shirt cardboards. Sheila and I value our friendship - best of the day to you.

Comments: Timbo,lad...ever since you wrote your name "mit" and left-handed to boot,I knew you were different(oops, I meant you were going to make a difference!).As a second baseman in the Fair Haven Little League, the girls all wanted to go see my little brother play 'cause he was "soooo cute";it looked like the glove was bigger than you were but you darted around the bag making great stops and looked the part of a big leaguer at bat, adroitly swinging the bat back and forth with your cap held up by your ears.We aggressively competed out back on the garage court for the title of ALL World in Wiffleball and Basketball over the years;final score was 626 to 619 (I let you win!).I remember rooming with you in our upstairs garret with the dorm windows on Fair Haven Road;man, was that hot on those summer nites...and you could snore seriously even then, lad!I couldn't have asked for a better "bro";well,on second thought,I could have but didn't,'cause you really were "sooo cute" back then!!And kinda still are...I'm proud of my brother and the great example you've set for your children and grandchildren..congratulations on your 60th trip around the sun, lad;here's to many more...your older but still better lookin' bro.

Seriously, having you as a neighbor and a good friend for these past number of years has been a joy for us. There has always been room for laughter, and we continually look forward to getting together whenever there is a break in that demanding schedule of yours. So..Happy B’Day, Mr.T. Comments: Tim, You have been an example to me for over 40 years. It just took me about 30 years to realize that. When I was a young college boy pursuing the darker sides of life, you were following another path. As a member of Villanova's "Blue Key", your example to your classmates and potential students alike was clear. Those of us who might then have considered you a boot-licking, self-important, political dork were wrong. You were not a political dork. As life moved on you took on other important leadership roles; in business, as captain of the Driscoll family,Aspetuck CC President, we were all in awe of your ability to focus on our insignificant problems and make a positive contribution. I look to you for some guidance as I approach the golden years. I know that I would have been much happier and successful had I emulated you in early life. I won't make that mistake twice. Please be there for me. Your friend and unabashed admirer, Lynn Rotando
