Comments: Dick's 40. Wow! You've always seemed like more of a big brother than an uncle. You clued me in to some of Erie's classiest places - The Shaggy Dog, Docksiders, Sullivans, etc - and my liver thanks you. Hope your B-day is great. Here's to 40 more!

Comments: Of course, your SISTERS would think of this!!! I love it too...the idea aside, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I always remember that the 21st is your birthday. I should have listened to your mom when she told me about the boots. Don't listen to anyone, 40 really is old, after all, with the average life span now, we are way past middle aged (me more than you, of course). So you NEED to make every minute count! Enjoy every second like it's your last and like the book says "don't sweat the small stuff, because it's all small stuff". My brother says it's the GREAT NORTH WOODS is great! Well, D. C. SUCKS! Many more happy days. Laura

Comments: Happy Birthday, Dick!!Welcome to the 40-Club...it sucks to be a card-carrying member here.Since it's been 37 years that we've known each other(by the way, so sorry about the sand-in-your-eyes incident at our introduction--it was my "boys are ickey" stage), I should probably tell you now....I never really liked you. Oh, that's sooo not true!!I look back at our youth, and know that you were so much a part of who I am today. From you I learned about true friendship, loyalty, unconditional acceptance, and most importantly, how to sneak out of the house at 2:00am for an entire summer without getting caught!! You have always been much more than a friend, you are family (at times, very much like the "special" cousin that everyone makes fun of). With all my one-liners aside, I want to wish you the most wonderful birthday my dear, dear friend...I love & miss you madly!

Comments: Hey Dick, Happy Birthday. The big 40. I know what you feel like. I have been there and done that. Just think of it this way---40 isn't so bad when you are like me and have turned 50!!!!!! Have a good one and wish you many more.

Comments: Well, here it is, smacking you right in the face--THE DREADED 40!! Suck it up, "Baby Brother". You are officially over the hill. It's hard to believe that the baby of the family is 40!! I guess that makes the rest of us real old?? I can remember the day you were born as if it were yesterday. You were the "Little Trailer" who added a great deal of joy and excitement to our family. Have a Fabulous Birthday Celebration. Enjoy your "Forties" and continue to make lots of memories.

Comments: Hi Dick (What's with the Richard stuff? Are you trying to be respectable? It's waaaaaay too late for that!), Happy 40th birthday! It seem like yesterday we were in college, having lots of fun, without a care in the world and now look at us! We are old! I have so many great memories of our time at Gannon and if I hadn't killed so many brain cells with you and Rob, I might be able to remember more. Just a few thoughts: Ice Man (What a great movie.), seed chicken wing, my poor cats, Faith's ferret, Dan O'D, Cool Breeze, the incident at APD'S (I'm still mad at you.), that wierd guy that lived in the apartment under you (What was his name?)"What's your name? "Where do you live?"--shining the spotlight, six pack halloween costume, you as Little Red Ridinghood-frightening. Oh, how I wish I could include some pictures! I miss seeing you. Kay and kids, take care of the "Old Man" and please come visit us. Love, Jennifer

Comments: 40-years old... And I would have taken bets that neither one of us would have lived past 29! I'd love to share some of the "fun" times that we shared in the past, Dick, but I fear that there's still a few arrest warrants with our names on them lingering in the Western PA area. Enjoy your 40th B'day, my friend, and please know that I often reminisce about all the terrific memories that we shared during our high school years. Best Wishes to you and your family... Flash

Name: Amy Snyder
Country: USA
Comments: Ever since I was a little girl, I looked up to you. You are more like an older brother than an uncle. When I was younger, you let me tag along with you from time to time, took me swimming to Loleta, and even made me a "Smurf" cake for my birthday. I know that they seem like such little things... but those are the things I remember the most. I still look up to you now like I did then and I am very proud you. So, on this monumental birthday, my wish for you is simple...May you be blessed with family, friends, good food (always important) and plenty of margaritas. Happy 40th! Love Ya! Amy

Comments: Happy Birthday Dick!!!! You have been a brother to me since first we met on the basketball court growing up in Western Pennsylvania....(we just did not know it yet). From there it was on to Gannon University where we were roommates and college students in the criminal justice program. You went on to become very successful working for the department of justice, and me..., well I became a mountain bum. I learned more from hanging out with you than I ever learned in school. Your honesty, integrity, good nature and committment to family values are truly noteworthy and I admire you tremendously. This ride is far from over and I look forward to future adventures together. I wish you peace and harmony in your life always, I know of noone more deserving. "we played king of the mountain, out on the edge, the world came charging up the hill and we were women and men...." a line from a Bruce Springsteen song that says it all.

I finally get to see your "grown-up" kids even though you and Kay won't bring them to see me!!! (Just kidding!!!) It seems like forever since I've seen or talked to you, but you know I think of you guys often and wish you would come back to New York. We miss having "normal people" at the Brook. Take care of yourself, Kay, and those kids, and return to New York soon. I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Make sure you have one for me.........

You know, your sister was good to you, if it had been me, I would have sent those pics we had last year from Kay!! It has certianly been a good 2 1/2 years working for you. You are a wonderful supervisor and have taught me a great deal. Every time the Exec moves are posted, I hold my breath, as does every one else here at Beckley. I wish you a very Happy Birthday, with many, many more to come. (By the way, I didn't help with this web site, no matter what they say!!) God bless.....Joyce
