Comments: Happy Birthday to my best friend of (Oh my God!) 26 1/2
years. I remember when we were in our early teens planning our futures. We
were going to share a nice apartment in downtown Chicago and live the
"single life" until we were at least 30. Ha! Funny, I don't
think either of us ever lived downtown and we sure didn't stay single
until we were 30 either. Since you'll be 40 for a whole 5 months before
me, can you keep a daily journal of what it's like and fill me in? I'm
scared - you go first! I still picture us as being in our 20's, I can't
believe that one of us is actually 40. 40!! WOW I used to think that was
sooo old. Of course, now I'm thinking that's the prime of life. I really
wish I could be there to celebrate with you, but I'm sure you know, I'll
