Comments: Dear Kathy and Mark: I'm guessing, at this point, that I'm one of the last ot weigh in on this madness--and I call it madness having read Saville's entry, and that it was posted twice. Throw in Pohlson's mystery posting, and there's a lot to be said for the theory of mass hallucination. There might have been a time when I would have questioned the sanity of my Loyola friends, but, in the end, I realize that most of these entries are from ADGs. Also, I can make these claims as I'm just as unbalanced as they; only the reasons are different. Happy birthday again, Kathy, and thanks, Mark. This has been fun. Let's check back at 75. --Rick (I'm sparing Tracy the aforementioned embarrassment in this segment by not officially attaching her name to this.)

Comments: Hi Kath,
I can't believe that you've stayed with that hack from Cable TV Supply for so long. Apparently most of the other upstanding people signing this birthday wish also know you could have done much better...you could have mated with the guy the in warehouse....the old man cooking the books...the Consolidated Freight truck driver...anyone else....but no, you've stock by the loser you picked all these years. I guess that's commendable. Tell me again what do you see in him?

Well, the good thing is now that you are 50 and still looking like a knockout you can find a replacement for Mark on the Internet pretty easily and sell the old boy off. We've got some real winners out here on the West coast if you want to come back here.

Have a Happy 50th Kath and just remember what Mark is going to look like in 50 more years when you celebrate your 100th. Trade him in for a younger model now, while you still can.

Hugs,

Randy Tishkoff

Comments: Kath, Congratulations on reaching this wonderful milestone in your life! I bet you're loving the attention this wonderfully creative card from Mark has given you. FYI - I looked up in the local "cheap apartments" website and found a great studio apartment in the heart of Chester, PA if you're interested for him! We'd all understand. The pictures sure are fun to look at though, as I think we all have some of the same types hidden away with probably similar good memories! Hope your day is great and you make him buy you lots of expensive gifts as pay back. We sure have enjoyed getting to know both of you guys and always look forward to getting together. R&R

Comments: Yo girl.......... Although I'm 49, I can only guess what it might be like to be 50. Must be hard, huh? Well, Kathleen, its obviously been much, much, much too long. But this is a great excuse to re-establish an old (really old) relationship (or is it a tradition?). I loved the photo album! Holy smokes..........you look great; Meagan & Mikey look great! Mark.....well the years have taken a toll, but he has a good heart. I would like to mention some treasured moments, like the time after our double dinner date when Mark opened your door & you rolled out of the car onto our driveway...........but, then again, you might bring up some "picture words" that might cause my subconscience to grab hold of past events........coliseums......nuns.......Irish Coffees..........Let's not go there. Well, I know we will get together before we are sixty. I just want to make time for my face lift & liphosuction surgery before I see you. And remember, Gay marriage should be between a man & a woman. Still your friend.............Pat (yes....of course....SAVILLE!) ***********MORE: TO A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND............. :0) Kathy, we have shared a lot of Green Beer at Irish Bars, listening to our husbands singing (perverted) songs. Who would have guessed it? Kathy.....May your Birthday be filled with Love & Joy! Happy Birthday, Kido! Sure would love to see you & the family. Lets make that happen!! Love you, Deb (yes....of course....SAVILLE!)

Comments: Dear Friends and Family- Thank you all so much for your birthday wishes!! What a surprise they were!! I bet most of you did not know we were friends with the Canadian Prime Minister and his wife: George and Laura, nor that "calculating the age thing" really makes me 1,000 years old!! I had tears in my eyes reading all of them! From my teenage years through my studious years in Glassboro, to warm and wonderful years in Sunny California, to my years and friends in the South, and, now the very nice place we call home... Please let's keep in touch, even the ones of you who I had lost your E mails. You know who you are... As for Mark...I am happy I married him; although there was that constant theme running through that many of you think otherwise. I know you are kidding. At least I think I do. His friends in Ca. always question me, and one Glenmoore resident has stated I will be sainted for my years I have been married to him. What a wonderful present this has been!! Please keep in touch, All my best to all of you. Lots of love, Kathy

Comments: there is something that just wont quit bothering me.....i can sort of understand that he probably had a few good jokes, lived in sunny southern california, claimed he could surf, and was a good catholic boy....but geez romance on the phone? with mark? Katie Bob how could you? Look at him.....its Freeda for God's sake....Q-Ball....Groucho...he's an ADG!! Let's see...your Meghan meets some guy on the phone (or better yet the internet)...who says he's from California, has a good tan, likes to surf, and goes to church on Sundays.....He asks her to come to California and maybe they could go to Disneyland w/ him and a couple of his friends (yea right)....what are you gonna tell her? oh honey isnt it just dreamy? that's how your father and i met....well you've had a good many years now to try and come up w/ a good explanation.....and hopefully you will have a good many more years to ponder the 'developments'.....We are so glad that you came to California, became our good friend, and still put up w/ Mr Manning for all these many years... Hoping your 50th is your best year yet.... you know we cant rag on you for that because the rest of us aren't too far behind HAPPY BIRTHDAY Hugs and Kisses......Pat and Leslie O'Callaghan

Comments: Dear Kathy: Was 1985 the first year I received my first Comscope calendar at your New Year's Eve party?? It does not seem that long ago... is that too far back for you to remember? Michael was the only child at that time and here we were all alone across the street in our empty house that we both filled over the next few years. When you moved to Hickory I didn't think that I could bear it. I missed you daily!! You were always there with an open heart and mind and oh and an open bottle of wine! Here we are 18 years later...and I WISH that you were still across the street! We will plan to get together soon for a quiet jump into the 50's. I hope you have a wonderful day!! Love always, Mary P.S. I was happy to see that you have kept in touch with the UTES! I guess there are some people that we all have to make time for no matter how busy or how many curves life throws us!

Comments: Kathleen. Happy Birthday!!!! I really enjoyed looking at the pictures of you and your family. You must be so proud looking back over alllllllllllllllll those years. I've heard that once you turn 50, the memories start to kind of overlap and then the events of the last year (or several years in your case) start to almost blur together. But I've also heard that sometimes they don't even blur together anymore, they just kind of fade away and then you end up relying on Mark to fill in the blanks(heaven forbid)... :-) Anyway, in all sincerity, I send my best wishes to you on this special birthday. You've had 50 great years and a wonderful family to be proud of. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Happy Birthday! Victoria

Comments: Hey Kathy, you old babe you. It is hard to believe that a mere twenty plus years ago we met you and Mark down in sunny Santa Ana, winds and all. Let's look back for a minute. Why were so many events that we went to together centered around adult beverages? Except for those pregnant moments, and boy you and Nora were sure pregnant! How about the swollen days of the Strawberry Festival! It sure is great to be the proud parents of babies born in Cal. We still are amazed that you could actually drink daquiris and margaritas in the old Big A, and no one can certainly forget the advent of the Irish Irish, a drink developed well before it's time and in the confines of your garage. From the days of Chuck, Kay, Jean, Al, Tom, and Pat, to now, we are damn glad to know you, Mark and your family. We wish you health and happiness on your birthday and everyday. Hope to see you soon. Love, Vin & Nora and the rest of the clan

Comments: Kathy, What a great idea! Getting the email announcing your birthday brought back a flood of memories. How lucky for us that our families moved to Newtown Square around the same time. How many miles did we walk together on Boot Road and Goshen Road and in your beautiful development! How many fun sleepovers did we have, staying up late, reading magazines, playing pranks on our younger siblings! And then our fun just spilled over to the Jersey shore each summer to the Second Street beach and the boardwalk every night. It is no wonder that we both still visit OC with our families. And then, when your family moved away, we kept in touch, visited, shared our milestones. I will never forget your wonderful long, newsy letters, your fantastic laugh and sense of humor, your sense of adventure, your commitment to family. I hope you have a great, great birthday. I hope also that we get to visit again sometime soon. I send my love and best wishes to you and your family. Sharon

Comments: Happy Half a Hundred.. Kathy ! I can't say I know you well, but I have to say I am impressed that you made it 50 years...you know especially when you spent what must seem like a ton of those years with that "Fantasy Football lovin'-Wine Drinkin'-Cable Guy ", in your house. Despite that heavy burden, you look great in the photo's. This is the first time I've seem the entire family, and what a fine lookin' bunch it is (well.. except that lumberjack looking guy with the beard). You must be very proud. I hope you have a wonderful Birthday and maybe the big guy has planned something special for you(other than a wing eatin' contest at the local bar and a Eagles Game). Have fun and hopefully we'll see you soon (when you all move back to Hickory in January). Oops...I hope I didn't give away the BIG SURPRISE that Mark had planned! See Ya ! Comments: K T Bob Can’t believe you are still ticking after all these years, and that you haven’t been put in jail for manslaughter, although most of us believe you would get off when we testify on your behalf. I do believe Mark is one of the main reasons there are gun laws in Pennsyltucky. We will have to get together and celebrate when schedules are good for all of us. I still can’t get over not being able to go spend an evening in my pink bedroom and look out where my double wide will be delivered, but alas, you wanted to move back to PA. If he got you jewelry to go to NC, what did you give him to move back to PA? Ptt Ptt – maybe huh!!! Enjoy your day. Love Kevin

Comments: Dear Kathleen: As President of The Center For The Aged, I would like to officially welcome you to our society. You will find that being involved with people your age has its advantages and here at "The Center" we know that you will enjoy these benefits, as long as you can remember them. And speaking of memory here is your first benefit by being part of our society – no more birthdays, well at least not for the next 100 years. You see here at the society we round everyone’s age to the nearest century, that way you don’t have any more nagging questions to answer and you only have to remember one number – “100.” That’s right you now round to 100, so happy 100th and welcome to the society. I must say, on a personal note, you look great for 100. Best of luck in the next 100. Uri

Comments: Hi there, remember us – we first met you on the plane to Barbados, where you and that nice other woman were unfortunate enough to have to sit next to those two drunkards on the plane, and sorry to say every time we saw you they were still following you two ladies around the island and they were still drunk. I reported them to the immigration people but they still let them in the country. Well we now have seven children and their names are Umberto, Ulric, Ujana, Unity, Uri, Urilla, and Urit. I know Sam Lordes Castle isn’t the same since we all visited but since I heard you were turning 50 wanted to wish you a very happy birthday. All the best Ulysses & Uriel Ute.

Comments: Dear Katie-Bob, OK, since my lovely wife has already submitted the kinder-gentler birthday sentiments (which I share entirely, by the way), I am free to share some random birthday thoughts. 1. I remember thinking that first night at ChiChi's...hmmm...how could such a babe be with such a certifiable nut case? Good women, bad choices. Here it is some sixteen years later and both descriptions are still totally accurate! 2. The Ham, the Fruitcake, Mexican St. Paddys, Wheat Beer, Dwarf Tossing, post-it name tags...here I thought all of these were Mark's creations. Last weekend he admitted that you were the brains behind these all-time classics. Put that way, I had to believe him. Wait till Roe and Bob find out that the Xmas name tag stunt was your idea! 3. Here it comes, you knew that I would ask....."What are your wearing????". On your 50th, it is now officially OK to say, "Flannel Pajamas with Footies". 4. I have always had a thing for Pat Benitar. I had no idea that you were her stunt double. Trust me, that picture is already downloaded and safely tucked into my wallet. "Hit me with your best shot...." 5. Here's hoping that Mark gets YOU a nice big box full of Commscope giveways for your birthday. I know that I always look forward to that. 6. A couple of us got together and petitioned Rome to get you on the cannonization fast-track. After learning what you have had to put with all these years, all OTHER miracle requirements have been waived. Congratulations, St. Kathleen, the patron saint of marital patience! Remember, Kath, 50 is only a number. Here's to one of the kindest, most beautiful, smartest, most considerate, funnest (is that a word?), and friendliest people I know. We are lucky to have such dear friends in you and Mark. Thank God for the Upper Main Line YMCA and Mrs. McGill! Happy Birthday
