You upload the pictures as part of setting up the Announcement. This means
they must first be in a format that you store on your computer. To convert
physical pictures to such formats you need to get then scanned using
a scanner. This will normally provide the output in either .jpg,
.gif or .bmp formats. We can accept other formats but it is best to
ask.

Enhancement Service
Quite often the Birthday Person is only a small part of the overall
picture. So when we shrink the picture down to fit on their
Announcement web page they can become insignificant. We can edit
the pictures to concentrate on the key parts they are in and therefore make
them more prominent. Also whilst also doing that we do our best
to adjust the Brightness, Color balance and Sharpness to improve the
pictures even more. This is not difficult and you can easily do it yourself
before you upload the pictures, that is if you have the relevant software.
It is however time consuming and fiddly, we will happily do it for you but
we have to charge for our time.

all chargeable packages your
Friend or Relative's Announcement will be displayed on their own dedicated
page(s). The Announcement can be
featured within our main Web site for the whole world to
see or if you prefer more privacy it can be held in a
discrete area so that only those you have invited can view it. We
will also not resell any email addresses that you may provide us to any
third-party. However, with the Guestbook option visitors have the ability to
leave their email address within the message itself in which case we cannot guarantee that it does
not then become available to third parties. <

/ Laughter You
can build the announcement with or without laughter. We can
also replace it with "music". However, to ensure that we
provide a page which has an acceptable load time we have to limit it
to instrumental backing tracks. These are called "midi"
files. Adding vocals can significantly add to the load time and make
it unusable.

you have the pictures,
any captions and your message you can normally have the
OhNo! Announcement ready for your review and approval within a
matter of minutes. If
you choose our Picture Enhancement Service you need to allow up to 72 hours
for us to complete the process. However, during that period the Announcement
will be available with the pictures in the format you provided them in. We
will however endeavor to complete the enhancement process significantly
faster than that where at all possible.
